Birth is to me is a very personal experience. Each pregnant woman and her Birth Partner deserve accurate, unbiased information and support for their individual choices.

I do not view childbirth as an illness or a catastrophe waiting to happen. I also don't take the view that all you need for a healthy baby is positive thinking! I believe in preventative care, access to proven, time tested and scientific information and consideration for cultural and individual differences.

Families need to be supported and encouraged. This is my goal as a Doula and Certified Birth Educator. Pregnancy and birth are the responsibility of the woman and family.
