My Services

My services begin with two "prenatal" preparation meetings. These are suited to each couple and include but are not limited to informal talks about your desires for your birth, preparing a birth plan, or two abbreviated childbirth education classes. I also offer discounts for couples to attend any six week complete childbirth class series OR they may attend two childbith classes of their choice in lieu of the private prenatals. Also included: Labor support by telephone and in your home, continuous labor support in the birthplace, one hour of postpartum support immediately following the delivery of your baby, and one to two postpartum visits depending on your personal preference. From your 37th week until your baby's birth, on I am on call and available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Before that time, I return all voicemail and email in a timely manner and can be reached 24/7 by cell phone for questions and emergencies.

Insurance Reimbursement

In most cases, insurance will reimburse some or all of the cost of doula support and Certified Childbirth Education Classes. I will provide you with information about how to request insurance reimbursement for doula services, an invoice and receipt to file with your insurance company, and letters to your insurance company if needed.

My Fees

I charge a flat rate of $400 for my services as your doula. This fee covers all of the services listed above and can be paid in two equal payments (I am also happy to make payment arrangements, and do accept paypal, personal checks, and cash).
